Sneak peek at some of the donations our members have sent for our upcoming AKKCOA fundraiser the weekend of September 11th 2026 at Purina Farms in Gray Summit, MO. This fundraiser will be open to all exhibitors and spectators. We are still accepting item donations! If you are interested in sending new or gently used items, please send us a message for where to send.

CONGRATS to the Top 10 Alaskan Klee Kai AKC Fast CAT invitational recipients!!

Entries open Friday, July 24, 2026 at 9:00AM EST!

Entries close Friday, August 14, 2026 at 9:00PM EST.

The 7th Annual – 2026 Fast CAT Invitational will be held Friday, September 18, 2026 to Monday, September 21, 2026

A day of open Fast CATs will precede the event and be held on Thursday, September 17th. FIT DOG Walks will be held 9/18-9/20 and 6-CAT events will be held 9/18-9/20!!

Held at the beautiful Sycamore Creek Family Ranch.

“Dogs only have a few ways of dissipating body heat: panting, blood vessel expansion, and, to a lesser extent, sweating through their paw pads. When a dog’s internal temperature exceeds 105.8 degrees Fahrenheit, they may suffer heatstroke. Also known as hyperthermia, this life-threatening condition can develop in minutes, especially in areas of high humidity or in confined spaces, like unventilated cars.”

Huge congrats to Christina and Maera!!

My Maera continues to make breed history, and make me proud. Bolstered by her success in Beginner Novice Obedience recently, we stepped further out of my comfort zone into Novice Obedience this month. ⁣

She earned her first two Q’s in Novice A in the two trials we entered a few weekends ago, placing first in each. And she was the only dog to qualify in either Novice A or B for her second Q! ⁣🥳

Friday we competed in two more trials, where she qualified in both, placing first in each again, and earning her Novice Obedience (CD) title in the first trial. So the second run was for fun, and to gain more ring experience (for both of us, but mostly for me 😅).⁣

A huge thank you to Joyce for helping us get ready to show in obedience and for boosting my confidence in our skills. 🥰

Pending AKC confirmation, Maera adds 𝗖𝗗 (Companion Dog) title to her name, and becomes (according to the last check) the FIRST Alaskan Klee Kai with a Novice Obedience title in AKC. I can’t be more proud of everything this little girl achieves. 💖🧜🏻‍♀️⁣
