Another Combat Baseball 18u Loza (2025-2026) chapter comes to an end. Nobel University Athletics got them selves an awesome team player and a great family.
Evan Martinez has been part of the Combat Baseball family for more than four years. Watching all of these boys grow into young men has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, but Evan's journey has a special place in my heart.
When Evan joined us, we all knew it would be a journey. What our players didn't know was that they were simply getting another goofy teammate who loved to have fun, threw strikes, competed, and could joke around with anyone.
The truth is, we needed Evan just as much as he needed us.
As a coach—and as a parent—Evan challenged me to grow. He made me a better leader, a better listener, and a better person. Coaches Rick and Ray have been incredible throughout this journey, staying true to our mission of helping boys become good men. Our parents embraced Evan from day one, and our players did what kids often do best: they accepted him as one of their own.
Baseball is about so much more than wins and losses. It's about family, growth, and leaving people better than you found them.
Thank you, Evan. Watching the young man you've become has been one of the greatest rewards of coaching. We're proud of you, and we'll always be cheering you on. ❤️⚾
