I accompanied the Leo’s Club from Bell Gardens High School to 2026 Los Angles Marathon It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We were at mile 11 and the runners were starting to feel the burn.

I participated in the Montebello Lions Club breakfast fundraiser this morning, where I met with Montebello Lions President Richard Chavez and past President Lion Ron Copley. I also won a raffle prize!!! Collaboration is a path to good community service.

Today was a truly inspiring day of collaboration with the Norwalk Lions Club. 💙

Norwalk Kiwanis 605 had the opportunity to witness more than 300 community members receive complimentary eye exams and doctor-prescribed eyewear.

Hearing the recipients’ stories — especially from children who had been struggling to see clearly in class — was incredibly humbling. The impact of proper vision is life-changing.

Our President, Cesar, proudly represented Kiwanis 605 alongside fellow Board Members. When service organizations unite with a shared purpose, real change happens.

This is what service is all about. 👓✨

Today was a productive day of collaboration with The Norwalk Lions Club. Norwalk Kiwanis 605 had a valuable opportunity to observe The Lions Club provide complimentary eye exams and new doctor-prescribed eyewear to over 300 community members.
It was humbling to hear the recipients’ stories, particularly those of children who have lost or broken their glasses and struggled to view their classroom lessons.
As president, I was proud to represent Kiwanis 605 alongside other club members. Community service clubs coming together to make a difference is what it’s all about.

The Norwalk Kiwanis 605 Loteria Family Fun Night was a resounding success, thanks to the enthusiastic support of the Norwalk community. In attendance were esteemed commissioners and local high school teachers from the surrounding neighborhood, including representatives from Bell Gardens High School, LAUSD, Downey High School, and numerous other community members. The event boasted a fantastic turnout, filled with laughter and exciting prizes. We extend our sincere gratitude to all who supported the mission of Kiwanis, a community service club dedicated to creating positive change.
