A huge thank you to everyone who came out today for our very first bass fishing tournament! We had a great turnout and it ended up being a perfect day.

Also a GIANT thank-you to the Portage Lakes Wednesday Nighters for all your help, Cleveland Clinic for sponsoring, and East of Chicago Pizza West Akron for providing food!

Registration starts at 5:30am and will go until 6:30am.
Ramp entries will be accepted.
Blast off starts at 7:00am sharp.
Weigh ins begin at 3:00pm.
Food will be provided immediately following weigh-ins for all participants!

It is with heavy hearts that the Norton Firefighters IAFF Local 4219 extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and members of the Rittman Police Department following the tragic line-of-duty death of Sergeant Scott Ries.

Sergeant Ries dedicated his life to serving and protecting his community, making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. His courage, commitment, and selfless service will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are also with the injured officers, their families, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy. The fire service stands beside our brothers and sisters in law enforcement as they navigate the difficult days ahead.

Please join us in keeping the Ries family, the Rittman Police Department, and the entire Rittman community in your thoughts and prayers.

Rest easy, Sergeant Scott Ries. Your service, sacrifice, and legacy will live on. 🇺🇸🖤💙
