Norton County Honor Hunt

Norton County Honor Hunt The Norton County Honor Hunt was founded to recognize our veterans and give thanks for their dedication.

The Norton County Honor Hunt will hosts disabled Veterans from across the state of Kansas for a two-day deer hunt the first week of deer season in Kansas. The day prior to hunting, organizers will share some of the community’s attractions by giving a tour of Veterans' Memorial Park as well as shooting at the Norton gun range. Two long days of private, guided hunting will follow and the entire even

t will end with a community banquet on the last day of hunting. The banquet is open to the community, but limited tickets are available. The banquet will be held at the Norton Eagles and will start with a cocktail hour at 6:30 pm, and the banquet will begin at 7:30 pm. The Norton American Legion will present a formal flag ceremony, and patriotic songs and readings will be included. A live auction will be showcasing numerous donated items and guns with proceeds to benefit the event for years to come. Hosting this event takes nearly 80 volunteers from the Norton County community in order to make it successful and special for our Veteran Hunters each year.
