The gallery is open 7am - 5pm M-F on the main level of the Heaton Building in downtown Norton.

Grant dollars at work!

Young AmeriTowne is now equipped with an AED and staff is trained to use it thanks to a grant from the Norton County Community Foundation. The safety of our students and volunteers are our top priority.

Earlier this year, NCCF presented an $8,000 grant to support the NCHS Band Uniform Project, helping bring new marching band uniforms to Norton Community High School.

The project was started by members of the NCHS Class of 1964, who attended the 2024 Homecoming football game during their 60th class reunion. While watching the band during halftime, they saw an opportunity to help.

Working with Mr. Nickols, the committee has already purchased new T-shirts, participated in Match Day, and established the USD 211 Instrumental Music Fund at NCCF.

This $8,000 grant will help fund zippered jackets and bibbers for the 2026–2027 school year. (If you attended the game this past Friday night, you would have seen the new black bibber pants!)

As Marsha Marshall, a key volunteer and member of the Class of 1964, shared, “The goal of this effort is to continue the legacy of excellence in instrumental music programs that the high school and community have enjoyed for over 60 years.”

Funds from the Kearney Family Fund at NCCF are supporting this new equine therapy program at Valley Hope of Norton. We look forward to hearing more about the patients' experiences at Sacred Stride!
