Congratulations Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas, Inc. for receiving a grant from NCCF!

They have been working to enhance the sidewalk/walkway at the Norton residential home, to allow for a more stable and level backyard surface.

Thank you for your work in our community!

Have you reviewed your retirement account beneficiary designations recently?

It’s a good idea to take a look at those documents every few years to be sure nothing is missing. There are potentially meaningful tax benefits of naming the community foundation or another charity as a beneficiary of IRAs and other retirement accounts.

Check in with your tax, legal, or financial advisor, and let's chat!

"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." — John LennonYou’ve certainly heard that well-known quote. But have you thought about it in the context of your charitable giving? It’s common to create a charitable giving plan during a particular season of life. Perhaps you ...

We’re excited to welcome Carol Kayton as the newest artist featured in the gallery!

A native of Holdrege, Carol’s love of art began at just two years old, when her grandmother introduced her to the joy of creating. Art remained a constant throughout her childhood and education, and today Carol works primarily in acrylic, oil, and watercolor from her studio in Holdrege.

Her work reflects not only her love of painting, but also her interests in photography, creative writing, and the many forms of creativity that have shaped her artistic journey.

We invite you to stop in and enjoy her work, now through September. https://www.nortonccf.org/exhibitions

Already have a Donor Advised Fund at a national sponsor like Vanguard or Fidelity? Let's chat about your options to move that fund to NCCF, where you'd have a local resource and contact.

You can continue supporting the same causes you have been and you might even learn about local projects you weren't aware of! (Besides, wouldn't you rather that administrative fee go to NCCF and support local grants and projects?😉)

At Norton County Community Foundation (NCCF), we work with donors who want to support favorite charities and causes they care about. Sometimes we meet with individuals and families who have already begun their charitable giving journey by establishing a donor-advised fund at a national charitable sp...

We are proud to award a $5,000 grant to Norton County Emergency Management to help purchase new Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).

This project places lifesaving equipment in locations that currently have no operational AEDs, including the Norton County Courthouse and the Road & Bridge building. With an aging workforce and residents visiting these facilities, ensuring immediate access to an AED can make all the difference in an emergency.

Thank you Norton County Emergency Management for identifying this need and working to make our community safer.👏

293 donors combined to raise $240,455 dollars for the 36 fund participants. With the $150,000 match pool provided by Jim and Lida Sharp and Family Foundation, the total impact for Norton County charitable funds is $390,455! From ONE DAY!

It was an incredible day. Thank you to everyone who was part of it. Shall we do it again next year?!
