Saturday morning was so special!

The Sea of Pink moved across Mona Lake again, and West Michigan showed up the way it always does.

Over a hundred people in pink. Survivors at the front. Families on the shoreline. First-timers who now understand why people come back. Strangers who didn’t feel like strangers for long.

That’s what this community looks like when it gathers.

Thank you for being there. The day is over, but the work it made possible is not.

Today is the day Mona Lake turns pink.

Ross Park, Norton Shores. Standup For The Cure. The community that has been showing up since 2012 is here again.

To everyone here for the first time: welcome.

To everyone who came back: thank you for not stopping.

To everyone here for someone you love or someone you lost: they’re with you today.

The Sea of Pink begins at 9:45am.

We’ll see you out there. 💗

Tomorrow morning!!

Ross Park will be quiet at first. Mona Lake will be still. Then people will start arriving in pink, some for the first time and some for the fourteenth!

Free screenings open at 9am. Boards will line the shore. The Sea of Pink will begin to gather.

The work doesn’t wait for July.

Trinity Health Breast Center provides care navigation and support for women in West Michigan who are moving through a breast cancer diagnosis right now.

That support matters. A lot.

For many women, getting the right care at the right time can change everything. Funds raised through StandUp For The Cure help make that kind of access possible and help support work that continues long after the Sea of Pink comes in from the water.

Your morning on Mona Lake helps women in this community all year long.
