Wood County under a Level 2.

A Wood County, Ohio, Level 2 Snow Advisory indicates that roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow, and may be very icy. During a Level 2 advisory, officials advise that only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be on the roads, and individuals should contact their employer to check if they need to report to work.
Meaning: Hazardous conditions with significant, icy, and drifting snow.
Recommendation: Travel is discouraged; avoid unnecessary trips.
Action: Use extreme caution, drive only if necessary, and check with employers.
Distinction: This is more severe than a Level 1 (caution) but less severe than a Level 3 (closed roads).

So yesterday (12/19/25)was 46 years the Northwood VFD Ladies Auxiliary distributed Christmas Food Baskets!

We have been fortunate that many are willing to help and support this community outreach.
The basket really is from all of you! This is only possible because of you.
Buckhead Meats- Midwest, Jones Hamilton Co. , employees and retirees, Hirzel Canning, Northwood Community Cares,
Chamber of Commerce, Huntington Bank,
Calvary Bible-East Chapel, Northwood Community Center members and non-members, Northwood school students, Home Depot, citizens.

whether you donated monies, can goods and non perishable foods, turkey hamburger, check dates on donations, assembled and packed the boxes, shopped snd wrapped donated toys, helped us load of vehicles day of pick up……
thank you to all who made this possible !

Update and Thank you on our spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Karen and Jeff Culler.

thank you to all who came out and supported this fundraiser.

The Northwood Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary had many who helped us make this a success for the Culler family:
The Northwood Fire Association, firefighters, Hirzel Canning Co., Schwabel, Northwood Community Cares, Darci Rossi for the delicious cupcakes she donated, Karen’s family, friends and Bible study groups who donated over 50 silent auction and Raffle baskets.
thank you to all those who helped during the fundraiser: auxiliary members, firefighters, many family and friends of Karen and Jeff.

A special thank you to Melinda, Ann, Lynn, Kevin, Ray and Dave who helped with the planning. Many hands make light the work for all.

Jeff wanted me to let everyone know that $15,000 was raised and that he and Karen are very grateful for the outpouring love, prayers and support. Karen wanted me to thank everyone who helped.

A community can do GREAT things when we work together.

with the recent news regarding a past firefighter, Jeff Culler’s wife, Karen’s
health situation, and a recent go fund me page set up to help with financial help for cancer treatments.. we decided to sponsor a spaghett dinner to help raise money for Karen and Jeff.
