Your thoughtful and generous donations enable us to distribute grants supporting outstanding non-profit programs. These grants benefit low-income seniors, at-risk children and youth, disadvantaged women, immigrants, individuals with disabilities, and initiatives promoting Asian awareness and culture. Our primary focus is on uplifting the Korean American and other Asian communities in the greater New York and New Jersey area.

It’s time to celebrate Nanum – the spirit of sharing – again!

Dear supporters and friends,

We’re very excited to invite you to the NY Nanum Foundation’s 16th fundraising event “A Spring of Hope: An Evening of Jazz Celebrating the Spirit of Nanum” which will be held on May 8 in Englewood, NJ.

Your ticket purchases and generous donations to this year’s event will allow NYNF to continue to fund strategic and sustainable programs that serve the most vulnerable Asians and Asian Americans – seniors, the disabled, women, immigrants and youth – in the metro New York area. With the alarming and continued rise in incidents targeting Asians, NYNF believes it is our obligation as a community to assist those most at risk and raise Asian Awareness.

Our “A Spring of Hope” 2024 annual fundraiser will offer a fun and relaxing night of dinner, an open bar, and live jazz performances featuring the sultry singing of Joo Won Shin (who sang “Fly Me to the Moon” in Netflix’s infamous “Squid Game”).

This event is our primary source of fundraising for our 2024 grants and many non-profit organizations heavily relying on Nanum’s grant distributions to continue their good work.

["Nanum for the Holidays" Highlights]

On December 14, the NY Nanum Foundation held its annual fundraiser “Nanum for the Holidays,” an ambiance-filled jazz club event with plenty of food and drink and talented musicians featuring Joo Won Shin, the enchanting singer who performed “Fly Me to the Moon” in the Netflix mega-hit “Squid Game.” A heartfelt thank you to those of you who attended.

By all accounts, the night was a great success! We received unanimously positive feedback from our guests for the refreshingly different and beautiful event format. In addition, our fundraiser attracted a new generation of socially conscious volunteers and donors who joined our core supporters and sponsors for a truly multi-generational experience. We raised over $120,000 that night which will help fund our 2023 grants. In order to maximize the grants we can award, we need your help to raise another $30,000. Would you please support our cause by donating to the NY Nanum Foundation?

In light of the alarming increase in incidents targeting Asians, for 2023 the Nanum Foundation seeks to fund programs that promote Asian awareness and provide assistance to marginalized Asian Americans. There is much work to be done to combat local anti-Asian sentiment, raise awareness and assist those most vulnerable and needy in our community. Fortunately, there are many dedicated and reliable grassroots organizations that are able to provide that assistance but need our help to fund their programs.

In this season of giving, please help us spread the gift of “Nanum” (sharing and giving in Korean) with others much less fortunate. We welcome every donation, big or small, because we firmly believe in the power of our community and what we can do together!
