Last night, at the CSUN Alumni Association Board Meeting & Year-End Social, our Chapter President, Tommy Diaz, was recognized as the 2026 Chapter President of the Year.

This honor reflects years of service, leadership, and dedication to the veteran community. From helping establish the CSUN Veterans Alumni Chapter to continuing to support Veteran Matadors long after graduation, Tommy has played an important role in strengthening our chapter and expanding opportunities for student veterans and alumni alike.

What an incredible evening celebrating our veteran and military-connected graduates at the 2026 CSUN Veterans Graduation Celebration hosted by the CSUN Veterans Resource Center (VRC)! 🇺🇸🎓

As alumni, it’s always meaningful to come back and see the next generation of Veteran Matadors reach this milestone. Behind every graduate is a story of sacrifice, resilience, discipline, and perseverance, and it was an honor for the CSUN Veteran Alumni Association to help celebrate those accomplishments.

Congratulations to all of this year’s graduates, along with the families, friends, faculty, staff, and supporters who helped them along the way. Your support matters more than you know.

For 36 hours, we are raising support to strengthen mentorship, expand professional networking opportunities, and honor the service and leadership of our Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard veterans.

The CSUN Veterans Alumni Chapter, in partnership with the Peña Foundation, is proud to announce Dan Peña - The Trillion Dollar Man Scholarship for Student Veterans at California State University, Northridge.

This scholarship is designed to support our student veterans as they continue their journey of leadership, service, and academic excellence.
