LAPD Devonshire PALS The LAPD Devonshire Police Activity League Supporters, better known as Devonshire PALS, is highly effective at deterring gangs and preventing crime.

LAPD Devonshire PALS builds character and enriches the lives of children and teens by offering year round activities that foster trust and understanding between young people, the LAPD and the community. For more than 30 years, PALS has provided after school and weekend enrichment programs for at-risk children and teens that build strong, positive relationships between youth and the LAPD. PALS promotes trust and understanding between young people and police officers by bringing youth under the supervision and constructive influence of dedicated law enforcement professionals. The program is based on the conviction that young people—if they are reached early enough—can develop strong, positive attitudes toward police officers and the law. In 2009, the Greig Smith LAPD Devonshire Youth Center opened in Northridge. The average daily attendance at the Youth Center is 91 children between the ages of 7 to 17. The Youth Center is complete with a library, a computer lab, a great room that is used for Tae Kwon Do, movie nights, ping pong, air hockey, and more as well as outside basketball courts and tether ball. For a tour, please contact Sue at the Youth Center at 818-885-6432.

Hello,
On October 23, 2026, LAPD Devonshire PALS will be hosting our 4th Annual Mini Halloween Carnival! This special event is open to all registered LAPD Devonshire PALS children and their immediate families. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and family-friendly Halloween celebration. We do not charge our PALS participants for anything at this event. This is not a fundraiser.

The carnival will feature:
Game booths and prizes, Face painting, Music, Food and refreshments, Costume contest, And much more!

We are also excited to have Uba Tuba joining us with their truck and providing free açaí bowls.

Over the years, many parents have shared with us that this event provides them with a safe and comfortable way for their children to celebrate Halloween. For some families, this is the only Halloween celebration they feel comfortable allowing their children to attend.
We need your help to make this year’s carnival possible!

You can support our event by purchasing items directly from our Amazon Wishlist (items will be shipped to LAPD Devonshire Station) or by becoming an event sponsor. Every donation, large or small, helps us provide a memorable Halloween experience for the children and families we serve.

If you are interested in hosting a game booth, or becoming a sponsor, please contact Officer Sanchez at [email protected].
Thank you for supporting LAPD Devonshire PALS and helping us create a safe, fun, and memorable Halloween for our kids! 🎃👻
