The Community Fund of West Alabama strives to build and strengthen communities by making it possible for a wide range of donors to create permanent charitable funds to meet critical needs.

Congratulations to Alabama Choir School, Boy Scouts, Family Counseling, Motorcycle Therapy, SAV-A-LIFE, Sight Savers, Therapeutic Riding, Tuscaloosa Education Foundation, and Help Holt Heal. These organizations received funding from the CFWA as part of the Spring Grant cycle.

We have so many wonderful agencies in West Alabama. The CFWA is happy to partner with the following through our Spring Grant cycle. The following are pictured with Glenn: Ray Allen with Help Holt Heal, Joe Phelps with Catholic Social Services, Larry Deaver with Family Counseling, Ebony Johnson with Tuscaloosa Childrens Center, Holly Glasgow and Kristen Bobo with Shelton State, Drew Baker with Tuscaloosa Childrens Theatre and Lauren Hurn with Tuscaloosa Angels.

The Community Foundation awards about $75,000 in scholarships each year to deserving students. The Mary Edna Anders Scholarship and the Pat Faucett Scholarships were awarded to TCHS seniors this morning.
