These little neighborhood stinkers are always saying things they shouldn’t.
“Ms. Amy, what’s up with that big vein on your forehead?”
“You were born in the 1900’s?!”
“You make White people Kool-Aid. Needs more sugar.”
The latest was, “Why weren’t at tutoring on Tuesday? Are you moving?”
I told her no, of course.
But, I lied.
The time wasn’t right.
But, now the time is right. And, well, Adam and I are, indeed, moving.
Our children no longer live here. Our parents don’t live here. So it’s time for us to be closer to all of them, particularly our parents.
To say that these 21 years here in West Circle have been life changing would just be scratching the surface.
Better said would be, “West Circle has saved me from myself.”
Quite literally.
And for that I’m forever grateful.
I am forever grateful for the love West Circle has shown my family and me. And I’m forever grateful for those of you who have walked alongside our community with us.
Thank you, West Circle, for being the living Christ. I’ve met no one who lives it better.
Thank you for your love, friendship, hilarity, and uncountable lessons I’ve learned while you allowed me to live life with you.
And although Adam and I won’t physically be here, plans are unfolding for certain things to continue and other things to bloom. So stay tuned!
Oh, and I’m taking my secret Kool-Aid recipe with me, people!
