Great opportunity to get outside and watch some competitive Rugby.

# # # Wednesday Evening, 8-21-24, Last session of the Summer Rugby Camp # # #
All are welcome to come and participate.
Lots of Rugby Fun and of course, Watermelon for everyone!!!

Past, Present and Future LI Youth Rugby players, Parents and Coaches are welcome to come out and play.

Last night, 8-14-24, was pretty awesome.
Dom, Mia, Nora, Mike, Axl, Eli, Olli, Iyla all played very well. Great job by Mike with a Hat Trick of Tries. The kids out scored the parents at rate of 3 to 1. All the kids had at least 2 tries each with a couple Hat Tricks for a few. We played until dark and had to use a flash to get the team picture.

Refreshing Watermelon after the game as usual.

One more official week left, 8-21-24, then it's time for Back To School shopping. Speaking of which, we do have some Long Island Youth Rugby Tees and Hoodies available at reduced prices while supply lasts. Limited sizes available. First come first serve next Wednesday at start of practice.

Any former players,coaches,etc. or local Mens and Womens players that want to drop in are more than welcome.

Wednesday 8-7-24 Wrap-Up.

Not much to report other than me eating all the watermelon.
Mike and Mike actually helped with that. LOL

Two more weeks to go ( 8-14 and 8-21 ). Hope to see everyone then.

Possible session 8-28 but that is up in the air and might be off site at an, as of yet, undisclosed location.

# # # # # # Wednesday Evening, 7-31-24. # # # # #

I never get tired of this. The Kids thumped the Adults again. All 11 Kids scored and a few kids had multiple Tries. Adults managed a couple Tries but with their lack of discipline, skill and condition they were doomed from the beginning. 😏 The ref never had a chance to put the whistle away when the Adults had the ball. So many missed opportunities thrown away. 🤣 Maybe next week they will clean up their act and set a better example for the Kids.

The Kids were all so good. Even the newest and youngest ones got in on the scoring. Big Night for Nora and Mia who linked up and scored a couple Tries each. Very impressive Running, Handling, Passing by these two. And little Iyla got in on the Try scoring as well. Big night for the Girls for sure.

The weather is looking good so plan on a good night of RUGBY!!
Be sure to get signed up on the Rugby Xplorer App/Website with USA RUGBY Membership. See all the previous post about how to get signed up. Things to remember, the club is Long Island Youth Rugby. The players will be either Flag or Rookie. Any issues, just show up at the field and we will get you sorted out.

Yet again, a great night of RUGBY with Long Island Youth Rugby!!!
Wednesday 7-24-24 was the half way point of our Summer rugby program. There is still plenty of rugby to be played this Summer. See previous posts for info on getting started.

The kids did win again last night and remain undefeated!

# # # Update regarding Wednesday,7-24-24 # # # #

So far the weather looks to just be a chance of showers.
No indication of Lightning.
**As of right now we will be practicing**

A little rain and some wet grass is no reason to cancel.

No one is made of Sugar, you won't melt.

If you have any kind of drive to get to the field, leave a little early. We all know what a little rain does to drivers brains on Long Island.

Some as always, see previous post for more details about how to be involved in Long Island Youth Rugby. Any questions, just show up ready to play and with good energy and attitude.

Another great night of Flag Rugby at L I Youth Rugby. We rescheduled because of weather Wednesday evening and played Thursday evening. The Kids decimated the Parents again!!! Great job Mia, Dom, Mike, Will, Axel, Ollie and camera shy Iyla. Kids enjoyed a well deserved watermelon after the game. Best part is we get to do it all again next Wednesday evening!!!!
