The Tilton-Northfield Recreation Council, formed in 1954, was founded on and continues to be committed to the ideas of enriching peoples lives through recreation and social activities. At the Pines Community Center and throughout the communities of Tilton and Northfield, the council strives to provide the community with programs that are mentally, physically and socially challenging for all. The d

ay to day operations of the Pines Community Center are partially funded through appropriations from the Towns of Tilton and Northfield, and fees charged for participation in our programs. The employees and volunteers of the Pines are dedicated to the education, health and growth of all the members of our community, young and old alike. The Community Center is available for rentals, weddings, parties, showers, etc. Program booklets, which have an overview of our yearly programs, are available at the Pines reception area.

The Pines means something different to everyone who walks through our doors. As we count down to NH Gives on June 9–10, we're sharing what The Pines means to some of the people who help make our community stronger.

Today, staff member Ruthie Nelson shares her perspective:

"I am thankful for the many opportunities offered by the Pines via the dedicated, caring, and multi-faceted group I’m honored to call colleagues. My years working here have built a commitment to improving programs offered now, and into the future, for all members of the Tilton-Northfield communities."

As we get ready for NH Gives on June 9–10, we'll be sharing thoughts from some of the people who help make The Pines such a special part of our community.

Board Chair Jennifer Haskins shared this on what The Pines means to her:

“Community spaces like The Pines help strengthen the connection within our communities of Tilton and Northfield. Supporting The Pines means investing in programs, relationships, and opportunities that benefit families today and for years to come.”
