Dear athletes, coaches, families, support folks, friends and neighbors The recent Buddy Walk was a wonderful inclusive gathering. We have so much to be grateful for.
The fundraising efforts for Windham County Special Olympics were our best yet. We have the funds needed to pursue our swimming, bowling and basketball teams - and even to consider adding something new!
As of today, October 4, we have raised:
Online through the Classy fundraising page $9,701
In-person fundraising in the community $1,947
M and T Charitable Foundation $1,000
____________________________________________
Grand total $12,648
These funds pay the costs of renting facilities, athletic equipment, transportation to competitions, food, housing and registration fees.
Many thanks to the athletes, families and community members who raised funds and promoted the Buddy Walk.
Our top five individual fundraisers this year were: Mike Curtis, Brittany Pussey, Kayli Nicholson, Katharine Breunig and Brian White.
Our fundraising teams at Families First and those formed by athletes and families added greatly to our success.
