What a night! Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy last night’s concert in Memorial Park—it was wonderful to see so many friends, neighbors, and new faces gathered together. A huge thank you to Barry Bender and Friends for their fantastic performance and for filling the evening with such great music!

We’ve got one more concert left in the series. Join us next Monday from 6–8 PM for our final show of the summer. You won’t want to miss it!

UPDATE: Due to the predicted thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, tonight’s concert will be moved indoors to the Northfield Middle High School auditorium. Same time, same great music—just a dry and cozy venue! See you there!

We are so excited to kick off the Northfield Summer Concert Series with the Pointe Noir Cajun Band! Grab a chair or blanket and come down to Memorial Park this evening to enjoy the show. Music starts at 6 PM and runs until 8 PM. See you at the park!

Concert Series Update: Delayed Start Due to Heat

Due to today’s extreme heat, we’ve made the decision to delay the start of the Monday Night Music concert series. The safety and well-being of our performers, volunteers, and audience is our top priority.

We encourage everyone to stay safe and cool today—this weather is no joke! We’ll officially kick off the series next week and can’t wait to see you then for a great night of music and community.

This bridge has many names attached to it, including: Second Bridge, Newell Bridge, Lower Cox Brook Bridge, or sometimes even Middle Bridge. It is, of course, the second of three covered bridges, all within a quarter mile of each other in Northfield Falls. This was taken yesterday in the rain. Rain really intensifies/saturates colors and has no ugly shadows to contend with. Mint green leaf season is coming to an end soon - next is apple blossoms (I hope). Have a great holiday weekend. Had a great time with the Roxbury Community Crafters! We did paper quilling. They have classes every Saturdaythrough March. Their website is on the card in the photo.
