So, you won’t be in Northfield Thanksgiving morning for the Rotary Turkey Trot? No worries, you can still join in the fun and get a T-shirt. Run or walk where you are in solidarity with Northfield Rotary using our Free-Range option. Stage your own 5K run/walk with family and friends on Thanksgiving Day. We’ll send our long-sleeved T-shirts directly to you. Registration for the “free-range” is open until Friday, November 6. Find the link to register in the comments below.

Join us for our weekly Thursday Lunch meeting at the Northfield United Methodist Church.

Today Dan Dimick will present “Managing Stress in Anxious Times: Keys to Helping Ourselves and Supporting Others."

We live in a moment of heightened anxiety fueled by a host of factors.

Political division, harsh rhetoric, a lack of trust in institutions, international conflict and the recent activities of ICE in our state have left many of us overwhelmed.

Dan Dimick will reflect on steps we can take individually and collectively to build personal and community resilience and healing.

The time is now to sign up for the annual Rotary Turkey Trot. Once again, this year’s Thanksgiving Day 5k run/walk will be a chip-timed event. For you competitive runners, it’s always satisfying to know exactly how you performed. For those who simply enjoy a friendly rivalry with a family member or friend, everyone will know precisely where they rank.

There is no better way to kick off the holiday than with an invigorating run through the picturesque tree-lined streets of Northfield, alongside Carleton’s campus, around the Northfield Golf Club and back to Central Park. A real 21st century Currier and Ives experience.

Don’t delay. Sign up now on the Northfield Rotary website to ensure that you get this year’s fun brown and orange T-shirt. T-Shirts are only guaranteed for those who sign up before Friday, November 6. On-site same day registration is available beginning at 8 a.m. but if you wait until race day to register, T-shirts are only available as long as they last.

You won’t want to miss out on this year’s Rotary Turkey Trot long-sleeve T-shirt. Rotarian Mike Fettig has done it again with this year’s whimsical design in the colors of fall. Sign up on the Northfield Rotary Website. See comments for the link.

If you sign up now for the Thanksgiving Day 5k run/walk, you’re guaranteed a T-shirt. Kids are always welcome. They can join in the 5k or participate in their own 1-mile run starting at 8:30 am. Leashed dogs can join the fun as well. Gather family, friends, co-workers, or classmates and form a team for a fun group outing to kick off the long holiday weekend.

As always, when you join the expected 1000 or more other participants for a fun and invigorating walk or run, you also support the great work that Rotary does including its youth exchange program, Polio Plus and many other local and international projects.
