Upcoming volunteer opportunities include:
Northfield Labor Day (THIS weekend 😱)
Popcorn Fridays Fundraiser (end of September)
Trunk-or-Treat (TBD - most likely on Halloween 4-7ish pm)

Help us run our booth for a 2-hour shift for Northfield Labor Day Festivities. Time slots availlable from 9am - 7pm Friday and Saturday, 9am - 1pm Monday. You will help people play the games, collect money and refill the balloons on the dartboard between players.

Happy Monday! Northfield Labor Day is just around the corner and we need you to help us make the weekend a success. We are running our carnival games booth again this year and our sign ups are looking pretty sparse. We currently do not have enough volunteers to run our booth Saturday - Monday. 😨😨😨

There are two-hour time slots available throughout the weekend. Two-volunteer minimum to run the booth, but three is better because it will feel pretty hectic and your time will go by in a flash. If you haven't signed up, please do so asap so we know what we are working with! Thank you!!!

The Northfield PTNO is Bringing Back the Fun for Labor Day Weekend!

Our Balloon Darts, Plinko, and Lollipop Pull are back for the ENTIRETY of Labor Day Weekend!

This year, we’re raising money for two big projects that will directly benefit NES students:

1. Big Blue Blocks for the NES Playground
We’d love to bring these oversized, creative building blocks to our playground and give students a whole new way to build, imagine, and play!

2. A New Swing Set for the Preschool Playground
The current swing set only allows two students to swing at a time and, because it is wooden, has a limited lifespan. We’d like to replace it with a stronger, longer-lasting swing set that can accommodate more than two children at once.

There are THREE ways you can help make these projects happen:

1. Volunteer
We need adults to help run our booth throughout Labor Day Weekend. Volunteers will help run games, inflate balloons with a pump, take payments, and interact with our wonderful community.

2. Donate Stuffed toys

We’re looking for gently loved, clean stuffed toys to use as game prizes. We know there are plenty of under-loved stuffed friends out there waiting for a new home!

Have some to donate? Message the PTNO and we’ll arrange a pickup.

3. Come Play!

Bring your family, friends, neighbors, and anyone else you can round up! Come play some games, win some prizes, and help us raise money for these exciting projects.

Whether you're a returning member or new to Northfield Elementary, we'd love to have you join us!

This is our most important meeting of the year as we set goals, plan family events, schedule volunteer opportunities, and create our calendar for the 2026–2027 school year. Have ideas for how we can support our students, teachers, and families? We want to hear them!

Can't attend? Send us your suggestions by email or Facebook Messenger before the meeting so your voice can still be part of the planning.

(P.S All Northfield families with kids are welcome, please reach out if you need the pool fee waived so your kiddos can swim while we chat.)
