The Woods at Wihakowi, a lodging and retreat facility in Northfield, will be hosting its once-monthly dinner in Abigail's Dining Room on Friday, September 23. This month, the proceeds from the event, which is open to the public, will be donated to the Northfield Emergency Relief Fund at Northfield Savings Bank.

During an emergency meeting this evening, Wednesday, August 31, in light of new information about road closures, repair schedules, emergency resources and the cancellation of the NSB footrace, the Northfield Observances Board and Committee Chairs voted to postpone the 2011 Labor Day festivities until Labor Day Weekend, 2012.

A meeting was held on Monday evening between the Northfield Observances Board, Labor Day Committee and the Northfield Town Officials and the decision was made to continue with the weekend's festivities and parade.
