Artie’s road to a near full recovery ❤️‍🩹 🥹
ADOPTION READY!! 🥰

Now that his skin is 99% healed, his hair is 80% grown back and his 🥜 are 100% gone, Mr. Art man is ready for his forever home and family ❤️🥹

Artie has had an incredibly painful past so his adopter will need to ensure his skin condition never ever comes to that or anywhere near that again. He is still showing some signs of allergies so I am calling to get him in for a cytopoint injection today. His nails are still growing out to “normal” and will take some time yet, requiring professional vet care to cut them until they’re normal again. He will likely need to be on allergy medicine or a special diet for the duration of his life. He will also require joint supplements such as Dasaquin for his hips.

As Shepards tend to be, Artie is quite vocal and has a lot to say. All the time. 😂 he loves to roam around the yard and responds to his name. He’s never once wandered to the road or out of the yard but that doesn’t mean he can just be set free roam without supervision. He’s a very affectionate yet strong boy. If you’re sitting in a chair he will most definitely try to climb on your lap 😂 and let me tell you he’s QUITE persistent about it and gets mouthy when you tell him no 🤣

Artie has a very loving personality. He is house trained, good with others dogs and cats and children.

Artie’s adoption fee will be $300. He was very expensive to vet and get to a healthy state again. That money alone doesn’t even cover his neuter and microchip. It’s not about money to me tho it’s about making sure they live out the rest of their time feeling safe and loved ❤️

Artie is 6 years old, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and neutered 🫶🏼

Come out this weekend!! Your favorite (tired) local rescues will be having a basket auction! If anyone wants to volunteer to run to ticket table at any point that would be perfect 👌🏼 and incredibly helpful! Even for an hour to give Nicole and I a break 😅

Just wanna take a minute to thank everyone so very much for the donations, helping hands, supplies, etc. Situations like this take an immense amount of help and support. The community truly showed up for us all and the kitties yesterday! People I haven’t seen in years showing up to lend a hand, deliver supplies, donations and so much more ❤️ a big shout out to Officer Wills and Chief Sharkey with the Northern Cambria Police Departmentfor their efforts in this case. They went above and beyond to help us make sure we could get all of the cats removed safely! Another huge thank you to Hope Fire Company for their hands on assistance as well. And obviously thanks to my rescue friends who always go above and beyond to help each other ❤️❤️ Nicole’s Furry Feline RescueProject Meow Riverside Rescue & RecoveryCinnamon's Closet we all work together extremely well and put the need and urgency of the animals above everything else. Yesterday was eye opening for many people in the community but sadly, all of us have seen this first hand before with dogs and cats both. The conditions were horrible but we’ve been there and done that countless times. People don’t realize how common this actually is and it’s so sad. If you see something, say something or better yet do something. These situations include cases of extreme mental health disorders. Not only are you helping the animals but helping the people who need it that live like this with a sense of “normalcy”. The man living In this home will not be able to return until his home is clean. We will be posting later to put together a game plan in hopes of making this possible for this man living with stage 4 cancer. I’d love to be able
To see him live out his remaining time in his home where it is clean and safe. I’m not sure if that’s even a possibility at this point but it’s something we’d like to try. Stay tuned for updates and thanks again to everyone ❤️❤️
