🚨 New Jewish exhibit alert!
"All We Have Standing Between Us: 250 Years of Jews and American Democracy" is now on view through December 31, 2026 at the Center for Jewish History in Manhattan.
Presented by The American Jewish Historical Society (AJHS)
and the Yeshiva University Museum, the exhibition’s 75 artifacts from throughout Jewish American history invite visitors to consider how Jews have participated in the nation’s defining debates and helped shape its democratic ideals, from labor rights and voting access to immigration and religious freedom.

In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, a new exhibition in Manhattan highlights how Jews have shaped the nation’s defining debates and democratic ideals.

"My mother had carried Morocco across the Atlantic in her hands, and she rebuilt it, one meal at a time, with American appliances and spices she had to hunt down," writes Moroccan-born author Ruth Knafo Setton. "The kitchen was her country. Cinnamon was its flag.”
✨ What food or spice brings you back to your childhood?

For three generations, a dash of cinnamon has carried my Moroccan Jewish family's memories, traditions and recipes across America.

As widespread resistance to common antibiotics rises globally, a new global project — funded by a European Union grant — will bring together 20 research and clinical partners from 13 countries to investigate whether bacteriophages — viruses that naturally infect and destroy bacteria — can serve as a safe and effective alternative to conventional antibiotic therapies.
Dr. Ran Nir-Paz of the Hadassah Medical Organization, who will help lead the Israeli contingent, is one of the pioneers of clinical use of phages to treat hard to eradicate bacterial infections, and a co-leader of the Israeli Phage Therapy Center.

Released Aug 04, 2026. Hadassah is part of one of largest global trials to evaluate phage therapy’s potential as alternative for antibiotic-resistant urinary tract infections.
