For more than a century, Hadassah nurses have been part of a family committed to healing, compassion and service.

At a moving scholarship ceremony at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem, six outstanding nurses and midwives were honored — including two recipients whose scholarships commemorate the lives and legacies of soldiers who fell on October 7, 2023.

Made possible in part through endowments to Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America, these scholarships carry forward a powerful message: remembering those who inspired others to serve, care and make a difference.
From honoring heroes to investing in the future of nursing, the Hadassah family continues to turn legacy into action. 💙

How do people cope after a crisis?

Dr. Shiri Ben-David, head of the Department of Psychology at the Hadassah Medical Organization, spoke with The Media Line about the Flydubai incident, explaining why immediate stress reactions are normal and how taking action during a traumatic event may help build resilience. She explained that anxiety and disrupted sleep are normal in the immediate aftermath, while a sense of having acted effectively during a crisis may support long-term coping. As antisemitism continues to impact Jewish healthcare professionals, students and patients, Hadassah advocates are speaking out — and taking action.

From supporting federal civil rights protections to documenting antisemitism in health professions, engaging policymakers and standing against efforts to exclude Israeli and Jewish voices from medical organizations, Hadassah is working to ensure that healthcare remains a place of inclusion, collaboration and healing.
