Last week, Cove kicked off the new school year with our annual Meet & Greet, bringing together new and returning students, families, and Cove staff for a fun and welcoming afternoon! 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. A special shoutout to Jarabe-Taqueria for serving up delicious tacos, Kona Ice of Arlington Heights for keeping everyone cool in the heat, and humanKIND • custom shirts for creating custom apparel that had everyone leaving with a smile! 🌮🍧✨

The 2026–2027 school year is officially underway at Cove! 💙🌟 Our halls were full of excitement as students reconnected with friends, met new classmates, and settled into their classrooms. We’re especially excited to welcome more than 25 new students to the Cove community this year!

After kicking off the morning with an all-school assembly, students spent time getting to know one another and jumping into fun activities with their classmates. We can’t wait to see what this school year has in store! ✨

The Cove community joins the many families, educators, and professionals whose lives were transformed by Pearl Rieger in honoring her remarkable legacy.

A nationally respected educational diagnostician, mentor, and advocate, Pearl dedicated her life to helping children with learning disabilities understand their strengths and reach their full potential. As a longtime member of Cove's Academic Advisory Board and a trusted mentor to Executive Director Dr. Sally L. Sover, her wisdom and compassion strengthened our community in immeasurable ways.

Pearl's influence lives on through the countless students, families, educators, and clinicians she inspired. Her legacy will continue to guide and shape the future of learning disabilities education for generations to come.

🎓 Cove Graduation is a celebration like no other! 🎓
Last week, we honored our 6th, 8th, and 12th grade graduates with a day filled with pride, gratitude, and heartfelt moments. 💙
Students shared reflections on their journeys, highlighting the challenges they overcame, the growth they experienced, and the accomplishments they achieved along the way. Teachers also offered personal tributes, celebrating each graduate’s unique strengths and contributions.
Graduates, we are so proud of all you have accomplished. Your resilience, determination, and growth have left a lasting impact on our community, and we can’t wait to see what comes next. 🌟

A milestone moment at Cove School! We proudly celebrated the second graduating class of the Cove Career Center, honoring eight incredible students as they reached this exciting milestone.
Throughout their time at the Career Center, these graduates have grown in academics, job readiness, independent living, and social-emotional skills, preparing them for life beyond Cove.
Now officially members of the Cove Alumni Association, we hope they stay connected through alumni events, volunteer opportunities, and the friendships they’ve built along the way.
Graduates, your hard work, resilience, and growth have inspired us all. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what the future holds. Congratulations! 🎓💙🌟
