Whitin Community Center's Rockdale Youth Center Whitin Community Center’s Rockdale Youth Center and Youth Outreach Program It provides a safe and nurturing place for children to go after school.

The Rockdale Youth Center gives youth grades 2-7 access to a structured before and after school program that focuses on homework and education first, is proven to improve grades, and promotes a safe and healthy social environment during the critical formative years. All you need is the desire to be engaged in meaningful, exciting, and safe activities... with your friends!

* Table Games: pool, ping-pong, foosball, & air hockey
* Computer and Internet Access: theme based special events, board & card games, arts & crafts, STEAM activities, karaoke/Just Dance, Kid Fit, Outside sports/gross motor activities, and cooking classes! The center is open from 6:30AM-8:00 AM and 2:00PM-6:00PM on school days, half days 6:30AM-8:00AM and 10:30AM-6:00PM, we are closed when there is no school. The program provides educational and recreational support and is socially stimulating. All children attending must register, sign a behavioral contract and have a parent or guardian sign off on computer usage and a no cellphone policy.

The Whitin Community Center has been nominated as a finalist for the Best Of Central MASS 2024 Best of the Best Awards! Not in 1 category, but 2! We are honored to be recognized in the following categories:

- Best Fitness Center/Gym!
- Best After School/Summer Camp Program!
