We are sending a BIG thank you to Allie Lane who has been the forefront of Northborough Recreation for the last 25 years. She has built up an incredible catalog of programs and brought together the community in so many ways during her years here. We will miss her greatly and wish her so much luck in Littleton!

She ends her time in Northborough having built one of the region’s best recreation departments. When she started as director in 2002, she was the department’s sole employee. Today, she has two full-time employees that work alongside her.

Tuesday walks with Ken Bennett:
We will be walking Gates Pond this week. Be there at 10:15 or at the Senior Center at 10. Gates Pond is located at 99 Taylor Rd in Berlin off Rt 62 at the gas station before going under 495..

Last week it was raining and we walked the trail at the Senior Center. Lucy and Jennifer took the pictures.

Our next program meeting titled "The Boston Massacre Trials: Blood in the Snow" is this Friday, October 23 starting at 7:00pm at the Northborough Historical Society building. NEW!! We now have the program presentation first, followed by a break and then the business meeting.

A huge thank you to Kevin Flaherty and his entire team Flaherty Physical Therapy for their generous $1000 donation to the Northboro recreation department.

Tuesday walks with Ken Bennett:
We will be walking Mt. Pisgah from the Smith Rd. parking area this Tuesday, .Oct. 6. Be there by 10:15 or at the Senior Center by 10 to carpool.

The picture from the Marlboro rail trail was taken by Lynn.

My father's dairy farm had a 25 acres piece of land at the very top of Mt. Pisgah which the town of Berlin owns now.
