Some new arrivals hitting the shelf! We are hard at work on the expansion so we haven’t been as diligent about posting new stuff hitting the shelves but some cool ones in this batch!

10/11/2026

We’re very excited to have some work days in our new expansion.
We will be inviting volunteers in Tuesday 13th, 20th and 27th from 4pm-10pm (we’ll likely stay a lot later to continue work but don’t expect there are many night owls).

This will be a variety of things but some of the main work will consist of checking titles against our current collection/database, cataloging titles, spreadsheet/data entry, adding stickers to cases and art, helping move some boxes around and other light work.

If you’re interested in volunteering we’d love to have you come by! Any length of time is fine, whether it’s half an hour or 4 hours.

Feel free to RSVP here in our messages or email [email protected]

After you check out Kent Jones’ new film Late Fame- now playing at Amherst Cinema - watch his two previous films the Diane (beautiful as it is harrowing and set in Massachusetts!) and the doc Hitchcock Truffaut. We also have a number of films Kent brought up as references, favorites or films that he later recognized as sharing sensibilities and sentiments: Nil By Mouth, Love Streams, Lola, Shanghai Express, Life of Riley and Living. All available to rent now :)

Last photo is of Kent and the wonderful poet Peter Gizzi after their conversation at Amherst Cinema a couple weeks ago.

The first Visions Video Annual Report is here!

The Visions Video 2025-2026 Annual Report outlines what our first year of operations looked like. What goals we reached, our community impact and what we are looking forward to in year two.

In our first year we successfully launched our micro-cinema program hosting over 20 incredible events, launched our storefront installation space, acquired multiple large collections and signed on to expand into the upstairs of the former haymarket space.

This was all done as a nonprofit, volunteer run collective and with your support. Thank you and we can’t wait for year two.

Available on our website www.visionsvideo.org or follow the link in your inbox if you subscribe to our newsletter!
