After 9 months of operations Visions Video is proud to announce a game changing partnership with Netflix and Amazon!

In the unprecedented move the tech giants will partner with the nonprofit, volunteer run store to help increase their monthly prices, reduce their selection by tens of thousands and arbitrarily remove titles on an ongoing basis. The move will also include closing the physical location, ending their micro-cinema program in favor of in-home streaming and replacing face to face interactions with an AI chatbot to recommend films.

We are open today from 2-10pm but we will become a data center used for mass surveillance thereafter.

Psyched to add a whole section of titles from .click to our shelves! Purveyors of outsider, enigmatic, no budget, SOV, cursed and legally dubious weirdness, Janice.Click are without peers. We’ve put them on our back shelf next to all the Lunchmeat VHS releases, AGFA titles and we moved our “homemade / cult horror” section to join all the other titles, directors and sections on the Cult shelf!

Thursday night at 6pm join us for a screening of part 2 of Louise Weard’s Castration Movie! Limited seating, ticket link in bio. This is FIVE HOURS long and will include an intermission.

Part ii of Castration Movie continues to delve into stories of disenfranchised people facing problems at the intersection of politics and gender. Michaela returns as she does her best to be a good person in spite of everyone around her trying to use her to their own ends. The second half of this story shows how Michaela’s journey has her collide with community workers, detransioners, fe**sh communities, right wing grifters, and anti-trans radicals as we continue to explore a cross-section of contemporary life.

A singular cinematic voice, Visions Video is thrilled to be screening part 2 in our micro-cinema series.

Very excited to welcome our friend to the shop this Thursday March 19th at 8pm for a reading from his new sci novel Voidverse out now on

Damien will read from the book and then be in conversation with and books will be available from

This reading is free and open to the public but seating is limited!

Damien Ober is a novelist and screenwriter. He was a writer for the Netflix series The OA and has written scripts and developed TV shows for Paramount+, AMC, Netflix, and Warner Brothers. His work has appeared in The Rumpus, NOON, B O D Y Literature, The Baltimore City Paper, VLAK, and port.man.teau. He was a co-winner of the Sherwood Anderson Award, was nominated for a 2012 Pushcart Prize, and his screenplay Randle Is Benign was selected for the 2013 Black List
