The Northampton Survival Center's 2011 Post Office Food Drive is on Sat., May 14th. They need LOTS of help--both the week before the event delivering bright orange bags throughout the city, and the day of with receiving, weighing, sorting, and storing thousands of pounds of food. Reply to this status if you want to connect with other Kula Project members, so you can volunteer together.

The next Kula Project class will be dedicated to the people of Japan, with 100% of class contributions going to Peace Winds Japan, an organization focused on getting basic supplies to those in distress. Anusara Yoga & John Friend, Founder Anusara Yoga have chosen this organization to donate to.

Not directly related to yoga per se...but such a wonderful program aimed at building bonds between homeless men and homeless dogs so that they can begin to save each other. Plus, it's happening in Massachusetts!
