Family Diversity Projects Now, we have created online exhibits to meet this moment.

Family Diversity Projects is a non-profit organization devoted to helping eliminate prejudice of people who are discriminated against due to sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, race, national origin, religion, and disabilities of all kinds. We tell the stories of real people presented in our eight award-winning traveling photo-text exhibits — In Our Family, Building Bridges, Love Makes a Family, Pioneering Voices, Road to Freedom, Of Many Colors, We Have Faith and Nothing to Hide. These exhibits tour communities nationwide in schools (K-12), colleges, houses of worship, libraries, workplaces, museums, corporate headquarters, conferences, and community gatherings.

MassEquality is proud to partner with Family Diversity Projects to bring the powerful Authentic Selves exhibit to the Massachusetts State House đź’›

Join us for the public launch:
Wednesday, April 8
1:00 PM
Room 437, State House

Authentic Selves shares the real stories of transgender and nonbinary people and their families—bringing visibility, understanding, and humanity directly into the spaces where decisions are made.

At a time when LGBTQ+ rights are under increasing scrutiny, this exhibit is a powerful reminder that policy must be guided by truth, empathy, and lived experience.

This is just the beginning—through our ongoing partnership, we’re working to bring Authentic Selves to communities across Massachusetts. Interested in hosting the exhibit? Reach out to MassEquality to learn more.

Come experience these stories, reflect, and stand with trans and nonbinary communities.
