What is happening with the houseless community in Northampton?
In 2021, we gave out all of the pods that were produced. While there is still a great need for housing, we’ve concluded that creating more pods is not the best answer to this need for many reasons.
Since that time, we have supported many folks in other ways, including :
Cash support for immediate needs Tents, sleeping bags, blankets rechargeable heaters, tools for building structures, groceries, clothing of all types, warm coats, boots, rain gear, emergency hotel rooms, bicycles, & more!
Unfortunately, we have no more to give without your support.While the weather here is mild now, it has been very cold and will continue to fluctuate with swings in temperature and stormy weather. One group of our Podsters narrowly escaped a large tree that fell not more than 5 feet from their tent! If you think living outside is easy, it is NOT!
