Thank you to the SCVAN for hosting the annual Victims Matter Rally and Advocacy Day at the Statehouse. It was truly informative and inspiring to be there. Hearing the speakers and connecting with fellow survivors and victim families was deeply touching. I also appreciated the opportunity to speak with some of the House representatives and senators, and share my story in hopes of fostering change and saving lives. Overall, it was a privilege to connect with others who understand our experiences and work together toward a safer future.

"I am the mom of two boys: my oldest, Ahmaud Hunter, who watches out for me and my youngest, 6-year-old Winston Hunter, who now watches over me."

Met Courtney Hunter today.

Her 6-year-old son, Winston, was killed in a drive-by on May 13, 2022, days before his kindergarten graduation.

Courtney felt disbelief, anger, and numbness holding him.

She’s fighting for justice.

Six suspects, two convicted. Courtney founded the Through the Eyes of Winston Foundation to raise awareness.

She spoke at the 4th Annual Victims Matter Rally, calling for action and accountability.

We are looking for food vendors, retail vendors, educational vendors, and parade participants.
