It is with Great sadness that we must report our Worshipful Brother Arthur Mullins-Stone has laid down his working tools for the last time.
He served Ionic Lodge No. 110 and Freemasonry as a whole with a full heart and was elected as Worshipful Master in 2022 where he served with distinction.
Brother Art will be missed.

"EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 7

Restrictions on Workplaces for Non-Essential Businesses…..Non-essential businesses or not-for-profit entities shall reduce their in-person workforces at any workplace locations by 100% not later than March 23, 2020 at 8:00 p.m.

On March 20 the Press Release accompanying the order expanded on it as follows:
The governor is calling this his “Stay Safe, Stay Home” initiative. The plan recommends that state residents do the following:

Effective at 8 PM on Monday, March 23, all non-essential businesses statewide should close;
Non-essential public community gatherings of individuals of any size for any reason should be canceled (e.g. parties, celebrations or other social events) are canceled or postponed at this time."

Brothers all,

In light of this development with the orders of the state of CT, we will be canceling all Masonic activities of the lodge until further notice.

These are definitely trying times and the best thing we can do for each other is to follow directives and stay healthy. Hopefully things will be better soon and we can resume our good work. I am very hopeful that things will be better by our 150th rededication in June. But as for now, all things are up in the air.

Stay healthy and may the grand architect watch over all those across the world.

Fraternally,

Jeffrey Potter
Master

Brothers all,

I want to reach out to one and all about the future events at the lodge. CT grand lodge has not forced us to cancel any meetings or anything. And I am under the belief that we are all grown men and can make up our minds on our own. That being said, at this point I am not going to cancel anything at our lodge. But I will be instructing brothers to avoid any contact whenever possible. Please, avoid shaking hands. Even the fist bump is contact. Until this pandemic passes, please great each other with a bow.

Also, if you are feeling under the weather in any manner, please stay home. We will understand and not judge anyone for this. If you are over 65, you might want to avoid coming all together. Brothers, that is your prerogative and no one would fault you for it.

We will still be doing the practice on the 4th Wednesday. It's supposed to be a MM degree practice. We might go over receiving of visitors and the funeral service instead. Depending on how many come.

Be vigilant and stay healthy. We will get through this.

Fraternally,

Jeffrey Potter

Our gutters were in horrible shape. So a few brothers got together today and replaced them. And put some concrete down on the crack that had created a tripping hazard. Oh, and cleaned up a bunch of leaves and trash. Great work brothers!!!!!!
