Charlotte Mason emphasizes short lessons, daily nature study, narration (telling back), and character formation through habit training. For children that is a wonderful way to learn. The pre-school and kindergarteners had a study on birds and they even got to be a bird themselves.

Life skills! At DOXA we strive to teach a life skills class each semester. While convenience and sluggishness trend in our culture, we want to teach our kids the importance of hard work.

What an amazing finish to the winter semester!
Outside of Bible we taught life skills, drama, speech, and astronomy. We loved watching the kids excel at what they learned as we wrapped up on Wednesday.

Our 1st-3rd graders put on a rendition of "Are You My Mother?", and the 4th-6th preformed some skits for us, as well as delivered Teddy Roosevelt's famous "Citizenship in a Republic" speech.

The 4th-6th graders are learning the art of drama. Today they practiced pantomiming and their teachers Andy was instructing them on how to “pick up” something heavy. It was fun to watch these boys 😂.
