🏀💙❤️ What an AMAZING night at our Double Header Girls & Boys Basketball Games! 💙❤️🏀

The energy in the gym was electric, the stands were packed, and our students showed up and showed out — both on the court and in the crowd! It was a night full of school spirit, community pride, and positive vibes.

We’re especially proud of the students who stopped by our table to sign the Drug-Free Pledge ✍️💛 Choosing a healthy, substance-free future is something worth celebrating, and it was inspiring to see so many young people commit to making positive choices.

Don't miss Stephen Hill presentation on Nov 19th at the Fine Arts Center located at 405 Meadow Drive from 6:30-8pm.

Stephen Hill from Speak Sobriety, in partnership with Erie 1 BOCES and CHANT, will be putting on a presentation titled First Choice & A Second Chance. This is a joint community event with Tonawanda City School District. The purpose of this presentation is to educate families on student mental health and substance use prevention while providing practical tools and coping skills to navigate challenges while fostering a deeper understanding of the ripple effect these challenges have on students and families.

We would like to strongly encourage parents and guardians of students from any grade, Pre-K through 12 to attend this free event

Day 3 of Anti-Vape and Anti-Bullying Week = another amazing day of learning and awareness!

Today, students heard from special guest speaker Hannah Palmer from Johnny’s Ambassadors 🎤, who shared powerful insights about the impact of THC on the teen brain 🧠 and the high potency of today’s ma*****na products ⚠️.

We also talked about how Big Ma*****na is using the same tactics as Big To***co—🍭 flavors, 🎨 colorful packaging, and 📱 flashy marketing—to target and entice youth.

Today’s ma*****na is NOT the same as it was before the year 2000. The products popular with youth today—like dabs, vapes, and carts—can contain up to 100% THC! That’s a HUGE increase compared to the ma*****na of the past, and it can have serious effects on a developing brain.

While ma*****na is legal in New York State, you must be 21 or older to purchase and use it ✅. For those of age, we encourage responsible use and—most importantly—open conversations with your kids 🗣️ about the risks involved.

Together, we can help our youth make informed, healthy choices! 💪

This week is Anti-Vape Week and Anti-Bullying Week at North Tonawanda Middle and High School.

Students are participating in a variety of engaging activities focused on promoting healthy choices, kindness, and standing up for what’s right. From interactive displays and themed days to classroom conversations and resources, we’re raising awareness about the dangers of va**ng and the importance of creating a supportive, respectful school community.

A big thank you to school admin, faculty, staff, student leaders, and partners who helped to make this week impactful and meaningful. Together, we’re building a stronger, safer, and healthier NT!

Let’s clear the air and lift each other up!
