Troop 184 just returned home from our awesome 50+ mile canoe trip at the Floodwood Mountain Scout Reservation. Our trek took us from Rollins Pond to Upper Saranac, along the Raquette River to Tupper Lake. The weather was great, the scenery was beautiful. and you couldn't ask for better voyagers than Alex and Ryland. As Scoutmaster I cannot express how proud I am of this crew. The persevered through some long days and tough work but a great time was had by all.
It's hard to believe the trip is over already, as Ethan put it, "The days were long but the week was short."

On behalf of Troop 184 we would like to thank the community for coming out to our pancake breakfast... It was a great success and we even sold out before it was over. More pancakes and sausage next year for sure!

Troop 184's Fall Hike! This year we traversed 11 miles split over 2 days from Nelse Run to Willow Bay of the North Country Trail in the Allegheny National Forest. Day 1 was absolutely beautiful and we did close to 7 miles and stayed at Tracy Ridge North. Today, day 2 was not so fun with torrential downpours overnight and a steady rain all day. That didn't dampen their spirits though and we finished hard and strong.

Fall bike hike to Niagara falls state park and back! Nice 25 miler for the day.

Summer cramp award haul! Troop 184 came in 2nd for our simple yet well made gateway.

Our Strawberry Rhubarb pie came in 2nd place not bad for Mr Randy's first pie!

Plus Mr Randy volunteered at Aquatics all week teaching swimming merit badge and the swimming requirements for the first year Braves plus guarding during open swim. Also taught Citizenship in Society on Bonus badge night to a group of scouts. These earned him the Scoutmaster merit badge (cool little patch with snoring Zs coming from a tent).

We had an awesome week at Custaloga Town Scout Reservation !

Not sure how much room there is for dinner after the Scoutmaster Cook-Off. So much good foodand great fellowship. Missouri Pot Roast and Strawberry-rhubarb pie were our entries. Stay tuned for results, we find out at campfire tomorrow.
