NT Neighborhood Watch – 2025 Year in Review. Community Giving • Sponsorships • Partnerships • Service
2025 was an incredible year of growth, service, and collaboration for the North Tonawanda Neighborhood Watch. Together with our volunteers, partners, sponsors, and neighbors, we
strengthened relationships, expanded programs, and supported countless families across the Tonawandas.
January
• Welcomed Officer Kam and his new K-9 partner, Sasha, from the NTPD for an impressive
demonstration at our monthly meeting.
February
• Began planning the NT Dyngus Day Parade Celebration.
• Announced our 2025 Grand Marshal: Retired Chief Joe Sikora.
March
• Officially introduced the brand-new Slow Spokes North Tonawanda Free Community Bike Ride, launching for summer 2025.
April
• Received a brand-new AED generously donated by Joe Lavey Jr., owner of Frontline Safety Supply.
• Hosted our Pre-Dyngus Day Party at Fattey Beer Co., benefiting Veterans One-Stop Center.
• Held the 5th Annual NT Dyngus Day Parade & Post-Parade Celebration — the largest free Dyngus Day party of its kind — featuring live music from Captain Tom & The Hooligans, Polish platters, merchandise sales, and fundraising that once again supported the Veterans One-Stop Center.
May
• Held our Second Annual Family Day at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum — $1 admission on Memorial Day Saturday, with every child receiving a commemorative keepsake.
• Launched our first Free Slow Spokes NT Community Ride of the season in partnership with Fattey Beer Co., The Wurlitzer Complex, and Platter’s Chocolate Factory — over 80 riders on opening night!
• Supported a Roswell Park fundraising bike-ride group during that ride.
June
• Partnered with Mayor John White and the City of Tonawanda for Gear Up for Safety, providing
bike-safety education and free helmets to local children.
• Once again awarded three NT Neighborhood Watch Scholarships to outstanding NTHS seniors, totaling $750.
• Donated 20 cases of Coca-Cola products to NT Parks & Rec for the annual Post-Prom event, and 10 additional cases to the NT Senior Center.
July
• Sponsored the Summer Euchre Extravaganza at the NT Senior Center.
• Made cash and food donations to Pantry 393 on Oliver Street community food pantry.
August
• Participated in the 10th & Final Ted Reinhardt WNY Drumming Festival at Old Man River.
• Took part in National Night Out, engaging with neighbors, offering giveaways, and surprising local kids with treats, and gave away two doorbell security cameras.
September
• Participated in Old Man River’s Labor Day Weekend End-of-Summer Celebration, partnering up with the NT Senior Center helping raise
$1,200 for the Senior Center.
• Hosted our free Slow Spokes NT End-of-Season Ride & Party — our biggest ride yet — with tons of giveaways and two new bicycles awarded to lucky riders.
• Completed our 2025 ride season (May 15 – September 25), which was a huge success thanks to incredible community participation, live music, and overwhelming support. We will be back in 2026!
October
• Offered a special Halloween craft at the Imagination Station, which we proudly operate year-round, now going strong for 6 years.
• Sponsored and supported the 25th Annual Winter Walk & Christmas Tree Lighting.
November
• Once again supported Mayor White’s Rockin’ with Santa Toy Drive by donating toys and making a financial contribution.
December
• Hosting our Second Annual Festivus Party at Fattey Beer Co.
• Donating gifts to Orchid Adult Care Facility.
• Providing toys and support to the Twin Cities Homeless Task Force of the Tonawandas programs.
Thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, partner, and neighbor who helped make 2025 such an impactful
year. Together, we continue making North Tonawanda a safer, stronger, and more connected community!
