I won’t call it charity, I think support is a better term, but being away from our support work has been disappointing for us. Having our fishing trip stolen from underneath us by a marine who had been invited on a previous trip was a blow to our efforts. Having moved to the Black Hills was to be our new beginning but with Covid driving people into that area was shocking when they started purchasing homes and property which tripled home and land costs, so that alone put a halt to our property search. We were able to to put on one small fishing overnight trip on the Missouri River but not as special as our week long trips in Minnesota. Having no property to raise and train service dogs has been a setback. We were fortunate to find a one acre property with a home in NH, Live Free or Die, and with property going up for sale soon we have the chance to add a few acres. This will give us the chance to start up our service dog program again. Living here in the North Country is awesome but finding shows to set up a booth for donations will be a challenge. Having lived in the Chicago area we had plenty of show opportunities monthly to raise the funds for the fishing trip and service dog care, now it’s back to work to try to find shows and hopefully a puppy donation or two for our Semper Fi Warrior dog program. Donations have always been a difficult struggle but a couple of VFW’s had helped when it was needed and out of pocket funding has never been an issue when it comes to supporting our amazing Veterans. As far as fishing in our area we have an an amazing network of lakes, mountain ponds and streams to fish, so here we are, getting ready to move forward…….

It’s been awhile since we have posted here on our page. With COVID and our move we are not set up to train any dogs at this time. I wanted to give a heartfelt goodbye to our first service dog Echo who went to Ethan Ervin. Echo went over the rainbow bridge 12/25/22. Echo was an amazing dog. Ethan will be posting picture of his beloved dog. Show him some love as he deals with this huge loss. RIP our sweet sweet boy ECHO!! We will alway love you !!!

It’s been quite a while since our last post about the Foundation, our move, and upcoming Semper Fi Warrior fishing trip. As I approach retirement which is probably 5 or six years away we decided on making our move to South Dakota earlier than expected. So with the move and the Covid crap we basically called off last years trip due to the lack of support because of show cancellations that we could have attended. With September around the corner we contacted one of the lodge owners who gave us free lodging at their expense to support our Veterans with some great times. Well….in his email reply he said the lodge was now supporting another Veteran group in our spot after originally saying he would support us as long as he was part owner of the lodge which is Vermilion Dam Lodge in Minnesota. The kicker is that one of the Marines, no longer my brother, who we invited out on our trip a few years back underhandedly took our spot. I’m unsure how he did it but it wasn’t something I would expect from another Marine. He also had the balls to get drunk and call me to convey that he was taking our spot as well as disrespecting my wife as well as myself where I draw the line of him no longer being my veteran brother. Anyway not a problem with the trip, but it puts more pressure on us to raise the funds to put on this years trip which is on, as well as being on the same lake. We will be renting a lake house and I’ll be chief cook and bottle wash and enjoying the good time our Veterans will be having. Nothing but the best for our Brothers and Sisters. I will be updating information here in a week as we get our dates set up and house rental in order. More information will also be shared on our Semper Fi Warrior page here on Facebook. Stay strong and don’t eat the bu****it!!!

We are looking to open an online store in the coming months in support of the Foundation and our 3 programs that support Veterans through our fishing trip, service dogs and PTSD program. We will have 4 shirts/hoodies designs to sell and a new patriotic design, along with coffee cups, coins and anything else that will help our struggling programs. We will also be renaming out PTSD program here shortly but keeping our tee shirt design intact since we love the artwork our shirt company puts on cloth from our ideas. This should all be available here out of pocket sometime in the beginning of the new year. Semper Fidelis!!!

Received a check today in support of the Foundation from another group, 1775 Racing Foundation. The Semper Fidelis Foundation sponsors them as a Charitable Foundation and they have given back in response to our support. We wish our Brothers who we support a great future in support of disabled Veterans. Without us little guys doing the cleanup work for the bigger foundations, there would be deserving Veterans slipping through cracks. Again, THANK YOU 1775 Racing Foundation!!!
