Dear Tribal Family:

I hope this finds you and your family in good health and spirits. WE are writing to extend an invitation to you and the entire Tribal community to join us in a gathering to honor and give praise to our beloved Elder Brenda Scruggs, as well as offer comfort and support to her grieving family during this challenging time.

Venue: Eastern Pequot Reservation

Brenda Scruggs was a cherished member of our community, known for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to our Tribal Family. She touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. As we come together to celebrate her life, let us remember the JOY she brought to our lives and find solace in each other's company.

During the gathering, we will have an open platform for anyone who wishes to share their fondest memories, stories, or anecdotes about Brenda. We encourage you to prepare a few words if you feel comfortable doing so. This will be a time to reflect on her life, celebrate her accomplishments, and find strength in our collective support.

We kindly request your presence at this gathering to pay tribute to Brenda Scruggs and offer comfort to her grieving family. Your support and presence will mean a great deal to them during this difficult period.

We are here to support each other during this time of mourning.
