Our Rotary Club was invited to team up with clubs from across Rhode Island for a major statewide service project and we would like to invite you to be part of it. Together, we’ll be packing 10,000 meals for Rhode Islanders in need. If you would like to join us please send us an email to [email protected] for more information. Each club will go home with meals for their own community
We’ll be reaching out to our local food pantries in Scituate, Foster, Glocester, and Johnston to bring meals back into the communities we serve, while Rotary Clubs from all over the state will help distribute food to neighbors in need. This is a picture of a packing event we volunteered at a few years ago. It was super rewarding.

The Rotary Club was happy to participate in today’s 250th celebration parade and Memorial Day program. Thank you to the 250th committee and American Legion Post 19 for all of the hard work and planning to make this happen. We respect their decision to move forward with the parade despite the weather. Those who fought for our country didn’t get to pick the weather and honoring them today felt meaningful. Our club teamed up with Salisbury Farm to bring a float that highlights one of our biggest undertakings- the Scituate Rotary Farmers Market. Other Rotary members marched in the parade along other community organizations.

Our Rotary Garden gets better every year. This crew prepped the beds yesterday and planting day is coming soon. We are hoping to grow lots of food for our neighbors in need. We would love to have more friends join us for planting day and weekly maintenance. No experience needed. We have a master gardener to teach us. Just need a sunny perspective as we plant good vibes. Scituate Rotary had a great morning participating in town wide clean up. Thanks to theSustainabilityCommittee for organizing. You know those moments when time goes by so fast it feels like no time has passed at all? That’s exactly how our morning went. We had so much catching up to do, plenty of laughs, and enjoyed giving back to the community side by side. Volunteering is even better when you’re doing it with friends.

Rotary is friendship and meaningful work with people who care. Whether it is a breakfast meeting for the Farmers Market or an evening choosing a scholarship recipient, our members show up where it matters. And despite the myth, we do not meet every week. We have one monthly meeting, and members choose the committees and projects that inspire them, from playground builds to garden prep and everything in between. Help us spread the word. The Scituate Rotary Club will be reading entries for a $5000 scholarship to be given to a senior graduating from Ponaganset High School. Did you know our club serves the communities of Scituate, Foster, and Glocester. Embracing the spirit of Rotary, we encourage independent acts of kindness, recognizing that even small gestures can inspire further acts of goodwill. A link to the application is available through the guidance department. Our committee will be picking a winner this Thursday.

Last year, we got a bunch of local groups together and it was a blast competing in Trivia at Granite Farms. We are planning another one for Thursday April 30th. IT starts promptly at 7:00 but come early around 6:00 ish to get a seat and order a drink and/or food. The Trivia is FREE!!! You can have 2- 6 on a team but, you can sit more together who aren't playing. If you have any questions send us a DM or email at @scituaterotaryri.org. If you are coming please let us know as the Rotary Club is organizing.

We are sharing this on behalf of our friends at the Scituate Sustainability Committee. We are so grateful for all they do for our community.
Each year, members of our club join their Earth Day clean up, and it is always more fun to do it with friends. If you have been thinking about participating but would prefer to go with a group, we would love to have community members join us.

🎳 Strikes, spares & stacks of pancakes! The Scituate Rotary Club knows how to roll into the morning. We meet once month for meetings but we try to get togetherfor fun and fellowship. Nate, Dave and Gina were top scorers.
