Do you have a teen interested in learning about careers in agriculture? Ohio Farm Bureau offers free one-day, immersive camps that give students grades 9-12 the opportunity to explore the many options. Here is what is coming up:

June 8: Greenville, OH - Tour an ethanol plant, equipment dealerships and greenhouses. Registration closes May 29.

June 9: Lima, OH - Ohio Bar Association, Land O'Lakes and equipment. Registration closes May 30.

June 11: Jackson Center, OH - Tour a meat processing plant. Registration closes June 1.

June 12: Agricultural Communications at Bowling Green. Registration closes June 2.

Hey farmers! Bring those farm tires to recycle!

Have Farm Tires? Portage County Recycling will be collecting agricultural tires from Portage County residents on Mondays or Thursdays from 10am-2pm for the month of June at our CHaRM facility. This is a free tire collection program for farm tires only.

There is an additional farm tire collection event at Southeast High School on June 9th from 8am to 12pm. Maximum of 4 ag tires per household.
