A Change of Leadership in Venturing Crew 144!

We’re excited to welcome our new Crew 144 leadership team and look forward to all they will accomplish together. Each of these young leaders brings their own strengths, ideas, and commitment to our Crew.

The Summit Board Of Review is different than an Eagle Scout Board of Review. The most current guidance can be found in the Guide to Advancement: scouting.org/resources/guide-to-advancement and there is also some general information in the online 2026 Venturing Handbook. The Great Smoky Mountain Council also offers officially licensed items for Summit Award Recipients. These items include Summit recipient, parent, and mentor pins, as well as Neckerchiefs!

What an incredible day at Crew Talks 2026!!

A huge congratulations to our Crew Treasurer, Raylon, for successfully planning and organizing this event from start to finish. His vision and leadership brought together an outstanding group of subject matter experts who shared their knowledge and experiences across many different areas of Scouting. It was a day filled with learning, inspiration, and fellowship.

We were honored to welcome an incredible lineup of subject matter experts who shared their knowledge and passion for Scouting:

In addition to the presentations, many of our speakers brought display items and hands-on materials for their tables, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions, explore programs, and network one-on-one.

Whether you joined us in person or tuned in via our livestream, thank you for being part of this special event! We were even treated to several bonus speakers who made the day even more memorable.

One of the most meaningful moments was a special Eagle Scout Charge, where the Eagle Scouts in attendance welcomed Hudson, our newest Eagle Scout, as he prepares to leave for U.S. Marine Corps boot camp tomorrow. It was a memorable sendoff and a wonderful example of the lifelong brotherhood of Eagle Scouts.

Thank you to our speakers, volunteers, and everyone who came out to support Crew Talks. Your time, encouragement, and enthusiasm helped make this event a tremendous success.

Crew 144 presented this new event at Roundtable tonight, and we’re excited to open it up to the entire Scouting community. Crew Talks is a youth-led event where experienced Scouts and leaders share their stories, skills, and opportunities within Scouting.

🔥 Arrow of Light Scouts
This is a great opportunity to come learn about the different programs you can continue into after Cub Scouts and hear firsthand experiences from Scouts and leaders involved in them.

🏕 Troops Scouts
Come join us, listen in, and be inspired by stories of leadership, adventure, and service within Scouting.

🎤 We’re also looking for speakers!
If you’re passionate about a Scouting program or have expertise to share (leadership training, high adventure, OA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, etc.), we would love to have you present.

Come support a youth-led event designed to highlight the many opportunities Scouting offers.

Please consider supporting Zoe Whitlock's Eagle Scout Project by donating new or gently used school supplies for the BISD Clothes Connection/Supply Depot.

Every notebook, pencil, crayon, marker, and folder helps ensure local students have the supplies they need to start the school year with confidence. It's a simple way to make a lasting impact in our community while helping a Scout complete one of the most significant milestones on the trail to Eagle.

There are multiple convenient drop-off options and even a pickup service if you're unable to deliver your donation.
