RISAFF Vice President Armand Niquette proudly represented our organization at the 2026 IAFF Fallen Firefighter Memorial, where he had the honor of accompanying the families of our fallen brothers, Mark P. Vincent of Hopkins Hill Local 4824 and James Vandal of Little Compton Local 3957.

Together, they honored the lives, service, and sacrifice of Brothers Vincent and Vandal as their names were forever enshrined on the IAFF Wall of Honor.

Their service will never be forgotten, and their legacy will forever remain a part of the International Association of Fire Fighters and the Rhode Island State Association of Firefighters.

Rest easy, Brothers.

Our deepest condolences to the family of brother Kilduff, our brothers and sisters of Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF and the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts (PFFM).
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Robert “BK" Kilduff, Jr. exemplified what it meant to be a union firefighter. BK was passionate about his profession, assigned to Rescue Company 2, and passionate about improving the lives of his fellow brothers and sisters, working as a staff member of the PFFM for the last 15 years.

More than anything else, BK was passionate about being a father. The PFFM sends all of our love and support to both of his children and will stand with Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF to ensure they have whatever they need.

The Rhode Island State Association of Firefighters was established on this day, 75 years ago. Today, we honor all our members and elected officials, both past and present, who have contributed to the growth and success of this remarkable organization over the past 75 years.

We express our deepest gratitude to all our RISAFF locals for their unwavering support in strengthening our association. We extend our heartfelt wishes for continued prosperity and success to our members and our locals for the next 75 years and beyond!

Great job by all locals that participated in collecting for MDA!

The top RISAFF local this year was North Providence Local 2334, solid work from Local 2334 coordinator Joe Broccoli who was awarded rookie coordinator of the year for our MDA district.
