Rep. Bennett, a retired psychiatric nurse, remarked that nurses “are the backbone of the medical and psychiatric communities.” He was joined in the chamber by RISNA leaders: Ara Millette, MBA, DNP, RN, NE-BC, Government Affairs Chair, Shea Amoriggi MBA, RN, CAPM, Treasurer, Margaret Clifton, Secretary, and Raquél P., Executive Director.

We are grateful to Rep. David Bennett, RN for this proclamation recognizing National Nurses Week, and to Rep. Marie Hopkins, RN, for her continued support of Rhode Island’s nursing workforce. A special thank you to the RISNA members who joined us at the State House in recognition and celebration of Rhode Island nurses and the vital work they do every day.

Despite the rainy weather, RISNA had an incredible time at this weekend’s Rhode Island FC match, celebrating nurses during Hometown Heroes Night.
