Happy Monday everyone.

If only we had this beautiful weather for the festival weekend!

We want to echo the sentiments from North Prairie Harvest Festival in their post on Saturday evening.

We sincerely thank everyone for sharing and caring about our park and our neighbors.

Saturday morning we had a small but fantastic team that came together to remedy this situation, and I couldn’t be more proud of these folks.

A huge thank you to Ron Churchill, Christy Nernberger, Joel Nernberger, Dean Buchholz, Vickie Buchholz, Terry Dalgren, and Amanda Dalgren (apologies as I can’t tag you) for volunteering their time to help. They put in an incredible amount of effort!

Additionally as Karen said, thank you to Andy Harmon and Christman Paving for their support! We couldn’t have done any of this without you!

I need to thank the North Prairie Lions club for their support as well. Lions Greg Dylak, Tim McNulty, Jim Hritz, and Erin Hardaker banded together as well to shovel, rake, scrape, roll and seed the park everywhere they could get to.

But the biggest shoutout of them all goes to our own Village President and North Prairie Lion Dan Miresse.

Dan organized everything from the date and the contacts for the equipment to grabbing lunch for the volunteers, to spending nearly two whole days running the roller.

On behalf of this club, and this community: We cannot say enough how much we appreciate his hard work and leadership in making all of this happen. We are truly lucky to have him!

I extend, and we extend, the most wholehearted of thank you’s to all of you.

Good evening everyone!

We hate to have to post this.

As most of you know, we took a bit of a beating last weekend from Mother Nature.

The harvest fest committee did everything they could to make sure that you were given the best experience they could give you, but also to try to ensure that the groups that Harvest Fest raises money for were able to try to profit in order to serve as only they can. We cannot thank Karen Miresse and her committee and family enough for how hard they worked and how much they sacrificed to make this happen!

That effort came at not just a financial cost, but also at the cost of damage to our park.

The park is village property and the parking area is private. We owe it to both entities to restore these areas to the best of our ability.

We are reaching out to you all now to ask for help.

This weekend (mostly Saturday) we are looking for any and all help we can get. Looking for people to help us shovel, rake, till, smooth, and plant grass in all the areas that were damaged.

If you want to see harvest fest continue, please consider volunteering whatever time you can, be it an hour or 5. We do this for all of you but we also can’t do it without you.

We thank all of you for your patronage last weekend, we thank you for joining us and hanging out through the downpours and the mud, but Also through the phenomenal entertainment we enjoyed.

Harvest Fest Update:
Parking in the Centurytel lot on the grass is now opened back up. Just use best judgment when choosing where to park, please. Rain seems to be holding off for now, so come join is for Cherry Pie!!!🍻🎶🎤🎸

Due to weather conditions there will be changes to today’s event. Will will be monitoring the weather hour by hour and will post updates.

Please note, at the request of the property owner, parking will not be available on the grassy area next to the carnival rides. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CAN PARK AT AQUARIUS SYSTEMS/D&D PRODUCTS, located at 200 N. Harrison Street. They graciously allow Harvest Fest patrons to use their parking lot every year.

Hello All,

We have recently been presented with a Community Cause that holds significant personal relevance to a member of our club.

David underwent a major spinal surgery on April 7th, aimed at improving his quality of life due to a pre-existing condition.

Unfortunately, the initial surgery resulted in complications that necessitated a second operation on April 15th.

Following several weeks of hospitalization in Madison, he was transferred to a rehabilitation facility closer to his residence.

Tragically, David's recovery was cut short due to unexpected complications, resulting in his untimely passing on April 29th at the age of 43.

He leaves behind a devastated family consisting of his loving wife and two young sons, aged 8 and 11.
As the family grapples with this immense loss, they face the practical realities of medical expenses, funeral arrangements, and living costs.
