Leadership Lincoln County participants traveled to Nebraska State Capitol for an immersive day focused on civic engagement and state leadership. The group observed a live session of the Nebraska Legislature, gaining insight into Nebraska’s unique unicameral system and the lawmaking process that shapes our state.
During the visit, participants met with staff and Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry to discuss current issues, legislative priorities, and the importance of citizen involvement in government. The experience provided valuable perspective on how local voices influence state policy.
The day also included a guided tour of the Capitol building, highlighting its history, architecture, and symbolic artwork that reflects Nebraska’s heritage and values.
