🌟 Spotlight Nonprofit: North Platte Area RSVP

𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗥𝗦𝗩𝗣

The North Platte Area RSVP program connects volunteers of all ages with meaningful opportunities to serve our community and address local needs throughout North Platte and Lincoln County.
Through RSVP, volunteers share their time, talents and experience to make a lasting impact - strengthening our community through service and connection.

📚 Did You Know?
One of RSVP’s programs helps support literacy in our community through the RSVP Book Distribution Program. Each year, volunteers help provide brand new books to local students, encouraging a love of reading and learning.
Last year, RSVP provided nearly 5,000 books to approximately 2,500 students across North Platte Public Elementary Schools, North Platte Head Start, North Platte Catholic Schools and Our Redeemer Lutheran Schools.

🍎 As classrooms fill with excitement for a new school year, we're celebrating the educators who create unforgettable learning experiences for their students.
Congratulations to North Platte Catholic Schools, a recent recipient of an Applegate Fund for Teachers Grant, for their 4th Grade Field Trip to the Stuhr Museum one-room schoolhouse 🏫 ! This hands-on experience will bring Nebraska history to life in a way students will remember for years to come.

Each school year, the John Russell Applegate Fund for Teachers makes approximately $90,000 available to support innovative projects, professional development and educational opportunities for K–12 teachers and schools across our 12-county service area.

✨ Have an idea to enhance learning in your classroom? Applications are accepted throughout the school year, with deadlines on October 15, January 15 and April 15.

More than a foundation, Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation is the result of a shared vision.

🌟 Spotlight Nonprofit: Prairie Arts Center

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿

The Prairie Arts Center inspires creativity and brings our community together through art, music, education and cultural experiences. Housed in the beautifully restored 1913 Post Office Building, the center offers art exhibits, classes, concerts, workshops and special events for all ages.
From the Children's Summer Art Festival and Sculpture Walk Across Nebraska to community murals, concerts and seasonal celebrations, the Prairie Arts Center continues to enrich Western Nebraska by providing opportunities for creative expression and lifelong learning.
