Family Planning and WIC

🎀 **October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!** 🎀

Taking care of yourself matters, too. 💗

Breast cancer screening can help find cancer early, when it may be easier to treat. For people at average risk, current recommendations call for mammograms every two years from ages 40–74. Your personal screening needs may differ based on your health and family history.

💗 Have you scheduled your mammogram?
💗 Have you talked with a healthcare provider about your breast health?

If it’s been a while, let this be your reminder to put your health on the calendar!

At People’s Health, we believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, respectful healthcare and information.

💗 A little update from our People’s Health family! 💗

We are so happy to share that Elizabeth has welcomed her sweet baby girl, Abigail Grace Thayer! 🩷 Mom and baby are healthy, and we are so grateful Elizabeth has this special time to soak up all those newborn snuggles and enjoy her growing family.

While Elizabeth is out on maternity leave, things at the clinic may move a little slower than usual. If your wait is a bit longer or it takes us a little extra time to return your call, we appreciate your patience and kindness!

We are so lucky to have our amazing clinic nurse, Crashel, holding down the fort and caring for our patients while Elizabeth is away. 🥰

Please know that we are still here for you! Thank you for giving our team a little extra grace during this special season. We appreciate our community so much! 💕🌸

A healthy s*x life starts with communication. 💬

Talking about s*x can feel awkward—even with someone you're comfortable with.

But communicating about:
❤️ What you enjoy
❤️ What you're comfortable with
❤️ Your boundaries
❤️ Protection from STIs
❤️ Pregnancy prevention
❤️ Changes in your s*xual health

can help create a healthier and more enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

You don't have to be embarrassed to talk about s*xual health.

Your body changes. Your s*xual health can change, too. 🌿

Stress, hormones, medications, pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, health conditions, and relationships can all affect s*xual desire and function.

Changes are common—but that doesn't mean you have to ignore concerns that affect your quality of life.

If something has changed and you're wondering, "Is this normal?" that's a conversation worth having.

Questions about your s*xual health are healthcare questions.
