Acer shirasawanum 'Autumn Moon' with its lime green new leaves that have orange edges. Quite spectacular, the orange color holds all summer, becoming darker with some red in autumn.

Moon Orchid, a new hybrid from New Zealand, has nice creamy yellow bell-shaped flowers with rose pink on the outside and yellow on the inside. There is also a light fragrance. The foliage is very dark green, and covers the plant to the ground. Very nice!

Years ago, Don Wallace of Singing Tree Gardens was given seed from Jim Barlup. The cross was R. 'Amber Touch' x R. 'Nelda Peach'. Don grew on a batch of seedlings and selected this one as worthy of naming. He began calling it 'Copper Creek' and after growing it for a few years, decided to start producing them to sell. Our first crop of this new hybrid was released in 2020 and we have been thrilled with both its performance and its reception. Our customers have been as thrilled as we are with this compact bundle of color. The plant grows to 5 ft tall and wide in 10 years and has nice, dark-green leaves with a lovely shine. The flowers are Don's favorite combination of pink, yellow, and orange. Thanks to Jim Barlup, this one is a winner!

Az. 'Humboldt Picotee' This form of Rhododendron occidentale (the Western Azales) was found by Britt Smith and Frank Mossman in the 1970’s on Stagecoach Hill, above Big Lagoon here in Humboldt County, California. There are many unusual and fabulous forms of the Western Azalea that have been named and registered, but this is considered by many as the ‘cream of the crop’. Bright white flowers are edged in purplish pink and accented with a splash of gold in the upper lobe.

Rhododendron 'Dame Nellie Melba' will be one of the best choices for a great screening plant. This one will flower from head to toe as can be seen here with Tom Martin's plant. This one fits into the 'As big as a house' catagory.

Large spreading shrub with FRAGRANT, white, pink and yellow fragrant flowers in May. This plant looks very much like the native azalea R. occidentale, but with more vigor and growing wider. The best feature is its fragrant flowers filling the air around your home! AZ. 'Irene Koster

Rhododendron 'Coastal Spice'. . . . . . This newly registered hybrid of R. Fragrantissum is one of the most loved fragrant rhododendrons in all of our gardens! Developed by Jim Gerdeman of Yachats, Oregon, the fuzzy dark green foliage is very unusual and attractive. Blooming for a long period of time, this eye catching plant will fill your garden with true beauty, as the spicy fragrance fills your senses. This plant has become rare, along with most of the tender, fragrant rhododendrons, as they are only suitable for zones 9 and 10. Many nurseries don't want to bother over a plant that can only be marketed to such a select group of gardeners. For this exact reason, Singing Tree Gardens feels passionately about preserving and passing them along. What a beautiful little piece of botanical history this gem is. We feel so blessed to be growing it and we think you will too!

R. 'Helen Deehr'

Vivid ruffled reddish-pink flowers in trusses of 15 cover this handsome rhododendron in late March into April, bringing color to the spring. The plant is one of the best for foliage and form, rating at the top of most lists.
