Did you see the crowd at the North Plains Public Library table at the ice cream social last week? 👀 Did you notice each kid walking away with free books? 📚

Those books were made possible by the Friends of the North Plains Public Library. It’s just one of the many ways we help support the library – and our community. 💜

And we couldn’t do it without your support. Donations of time, money, and books are what keep our organization, and the library, thriving. 🌱

We are hosting a giveaway the first two weeks of June to celebrate e-books and the people who love them. One lucky winner will receive a Kobo Clara BW! Visit click the link in bio or visit wccls.org/50-giveaway to enter. Giveaway closes 5 pm on June 12. Watch for another giveaway in the July and August newsletters.

Eligibility: Entrant must live in Washington County, Oregon. One submission per entrant. Winners will be chosen at random. Library staff, board members, and their families are not eligible for prizes.

☀️📚 Summer reading has officially kicked off, and this year’s theme is Plant a Seed, Read!

To get you started, WCCLS website has a curated list of garden themed reading for you to enjoy with your little one.

Stop by the North Plains Public Library to check them out or place a hold online. Let’s help our young readers grow strong roots in reading and nature. 🌱

🍨We all scream for ice cream! 🍨

It's June, which means it's time for the annual North Plains Ice Cream social. Grab your ice cream, swing by the North Plains Public Library table to get the kiddos signed up for summer reading, and then be sure to stop at the Friend's table to become a member!

Everyone who joins before June 6th will be entered into our raffle to win a $50 Barnes and Noble gift card and a Library Joy coffee mug!
