Our Services:
Wounded Veterans Relief Fund supports all era veterans including their families in the Sunshine State. Our network of referring Veterans Administration locations now serves a tri-state area that includes all of Florida. As our network grows, we are able to provide more veterans with the immediate, focused assistance they deserve. Immediate needs are our first priority: We help pay re

nt to avoid eviction, utility payments keeping the lights on and emergency vehicle repairs. In extreme cases we cover costs for temporary housing in lieu of the family living in their car. Our program relies exclusively on referrals sent by our Veteran Administration (VA) Medical Center network. Wounded Veterans Relief Fund provides financial support to qualified disabled veterans in the state of FL. Our Impact:
Our network and our donations continue to grow:
Since our fundraising began, we have seen year on year increases of 33%-59% in revenue. Our assistance network has also seen expansion and growth. As of the end of September 2016, we have helped over 8,750 veterans and their family. Monthly, that is an average of approximately 250 people, and that number continues to rise. In August 2016, we expanded our coverage to include ALL of Florida, supporting 32 separate Veteran Administration locations. Our Promise:
The more our operating costs are down, the more funds are available to help wounded veterans. We promise to grow wisely and keep administrative costs as low as possible by ensuring overhead and fundraising expenses are kept to a minimum.We are a metric-driven organization. Using project and donor management software, we are driven by hard data for short and long term decisions. In 2020, more than 85 percent of all donated funds went directly toward wounded veterans assistance. Our financial records are maintained by a CPA firm to observe, monitor, and audit financial accounts and for tax preparation and submission. Our Pledge to Our Veterans:
We promise to be responsible, and to put you first. Your needs and your privacy are top-of-mind in all that we do. And we invite veterans to look at how we are spending funds. While there is no obligation to lend your voice publicly, for those veterans who would like to help spread the word, your presence is invaluable. Your voice can help us elevate this cause. Any veteran willing to help promote our work within the veteran community is encouraged to contact us to get more involved.

WHEN ONE OF OUR OWN NEEDS HELP, WE STEP UP.

An active-duty Army soldier and his girlfriend did everything they could to get their beloved Cane Corso, Apex, the surgery he needed. They exhausted their savings and even sold their motorcycle to cover the cost.

Then the unimaginable happened — the wrong shoulder was operated on.

Facing another surgery and additional veterinary bills they simply couldn’t afford, Wounded Veterans Relief Fund stepped in, providing more than $1,000 in urgent financial assistance to help Apex get the care he needed.

Today, we’re happy to share that Apex is recovering well! ❤️🐕

A special thank you to WVRF Board Member Willard Shepard for bringing this situation to our attention and helping this military family during an incredibly difficult time.

And thank you to WPTV and Mike Trim for sharing this story and helping shine a light on the unexpected challenges our service members and veterans can face.

That’s a wrap on the 14th Annual Treasure Coast Bonito Blast! 🇺🇸

What an incredible weekend on the water and an even better showing of support for Florida’s veterans.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to fish, sponsor, donate, volunteer, attend, and support this year’s Bonito Blast. Events like this only happen because of an amazing community of anglers, businesses, volunteers, and supporters who continue to step up for those who served our country.

🇺🇸 Supporting Those Who Served 🇺🇸

Today, Wounded Veterans Relief Fund was proud to attend the Village of North Palm Beach Veteran Resource Fair in support of the West Palm Beach VA and our local Veteran community.

The event brought together organizations and VA programs from across the area to connect Veterans with valuable resources, including VA healthcare enrollment, health screenings, caregiver support, mental health and su***de prevention services, women’s health, homeless services, social work, and more.

A special thank you to the West Palm Beach VA Healthcare System and the Village of North Palm Beach for bringing so many organizations together under one roof. Events like this are an important reminder of what can be accomplished when our community works together to support the men and women who have served our country. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙
