The Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County joins our marine community in remembering our member Brett Fitzgerald, whose life was marked by service, leadership, and a deep love for Florida’s waterways.

Brett served as Executive Director of the Angler Action Foundation and most recently as Vice President of Freedom Environmental, where he worked to advance marine habitat conservation, improve water quality, and protect our shorelines.

His impact extended far beyond his professional accomplishments. Brett was known for his adventurous spirit, genuine connections with others, and passion for the outdoors and life on the water.

We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, children, family, friends, and colleagues. Brett’s dedication to protecting our natural environment will continue to inspire our community for years to come.

Last Friday, MIAPBC was proud to join Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast for the first Career Exploration Fair of the school year at Lake Worth Community High School!

We had the opportunity to connect with students and share just how many exciting career paths are available in the marine industry from the trades, marine operations to marketing, sales, technology, engineering, and so much more. 🌊

We’re passionate about helping the next generation discover that a career on the water can take many different paths. ⚓️

A huge thank you to the 271+ volunteers who joined us this past Saturday at Loggerhead Park for International Coastal Cleanup Day alongside Loggerhead Marinelife Center & Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful, Inc. 🌊

Together, we collected 69+ pounds of litter and made a meaningful impact on our local coastline. 💙♻️
